Mastegot was born in Tarragona (Catalonia, Spain) in 2014 from the collapse of the band Truckstop Maniacs. The band, formed at that time by Marc (drumm of The Gundown, Crim and Vondanikens), Beni (bass of The Gundown, Col-lapse and Serpent), Quim (guitar of The Gundown, Crim and Vondanikens), Aleix (guitar) and Marc (vocals), decides to go for a new musical line closer to the more aggressive Rock'n'Roll essence, without leaving aside the more Hardcore, Punk and Metal origins that had always accompanied its members. "Desgràcia" sounds like NWOBHM, but also to the essence of its components with Hardcore and Punk influences. The sound can remind us of those first bands from Great Britain that were influenced by the Metal and Hard Rock scene of the late 60's and 70's, and that in the late years of that last decade knew and lived the explosion of Punk. A powerful sound that goes from Hardcore to the rawest and fastest RnR. 6 tracks!
