Since I listened to Mirage's demo released on cassette originally by Roachleg Records I felt it had something special and this band from New York/New Jersey without doing anything new have managed to make it their own. The sound is Hardcore and maniac but when singing in Italian by their vocalist Salvatore, it's impossible not to think of Italian bands from the 80s like Wretched... but Mirage goes beyond that. They have been able to pick up the essence of the dark Hardcore bands that reigned in that Italy of the early 80s like Stinky Rats or Nerorgasmo, they have known how to filter their chaotic Hardcore through the Post Punk funnel and they have created 7 tracks of Hardcore full of dark melodies, hypnotic rhythms and an overflowing Punk energy... 7 tracks!
